The intent of the planned regulatory action is to respond to a petition for rulemaking from the Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, requesting the Board to examine its regulations for the practice of clinical nurse specialists (CNS) for consistency with the consensus model of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) for currency of the CNS role in today’s health care environment. |
