| Action Summary |
The Virginia Board of Nursing has adopted amendments to 18 VAC 90-20-10 et seq. under an exemption to the Administrative Process Act to conform its regulations to changes made in the Code of Virginia by Chapters 783 and 637 of the 1999 Acts of the Assembly, which place certain requirements on educational programs for certified nurse aides. Amendments to the regulations are adopted to require that such programs contain at least 120 hours of instruction, that specified topics be included in the programs, and that the programs provide each student with information on criminal background checks by employers and the potential barriers to employment. |
