Please Pass The Poultry Litter Regulation

Though I am a Southern California resident, I am a supporter of Shenandoah Riverkeeper and an avid fisherman who regularly fishes the Shenandoah River in pursuit of smallmouth bass.  I feel quite strongly that the Virginia legislature should do all that it can to protect all rivers, and most especially a beautiful water such as the Shenandoah from any and all sources of pollution.  Please close the current loophole which allows such a high percentage of poultry waste to be applied to soil as fertilizer from where so much of it washes unabated into the river or its tributaries.  I feel quite strongly, as one who frequently visits family in Virginia and enjoys drif trips fishing the river, that those who use or store significant amounts of poultry waste must test their soil to prevent the overapplication of phosphorous.
