Historic Monuments

Our country has had many who have contributed to it's story many who may not have been all we would've liked. Their contributions however have made us who we are. There are a number of people who have statues or memorials built to represent them that I've not agreed with. I would never think of tearing down these physical reminders or our history. The monuments that have been vandalized have been done so by an ignorant few. Those that have been removed or demolished have been done by short sighted officials. These monuments represent some or all of us as Americans. All of us have a right to have memorials and statues to our ancestors. No one has the right to deny us such monuments. No one said you have to like them being there but unless the monuments physically shows harm or disrespect as part if the statues creation, leave it be. Others are allowed their hero's, I'm allowed mine.
