For those of you against this amendment who invoke the sanctity of the law: First of all, the current administration, even if it is at the end of its mandate, has the full capacity to change, amend or abrogate laws. This is constitutional . Secondly, the lawmaker has to meet the real needs of its electorate and cannot be bound to "vague" and folkloric ideas about social custom such as "christianity says this and that" To keep it short, the state is a secular institution and if its goal is democracy, then this amendment is a meaningful step towards that goal.
