I have had dry needling done to my glute/hip muscles and I LOVED it! It helped take my pain away and my PT was so educated on the topic. I trusted her so much and I would have it done a thousand times again. It is NOT at all the same as acupuntuce and in fact I would never get acupuncture done. PT's should totally be allowed to dry needle and those rights shouldn't be taken away from them!! They are EXPERTS on the musculoskeletal system and they know what they are doing.
