I am adamantly opposed to any form of gun control. The Second Amendment was instituted to prevent a tyrannical government from over reach into the lives of its citizens. You can rest assured anyone who will commit an act of terrorism is not going to stealthily pack a firearm into a federal building of any sort, but will walk through the front doors, guns a-blazing, if you will. Problem is, as well-meaning as our legislators may be in attempting to enact gun control legislation, WE are all missing the point. The Second Amendment only works if there's some sort of moral compass in the country. Today, we lack that as a nation. Take the guns away and you'll still have violent crimes committed, only now knives, explosives, vehicles, etc. will be used. This is not a gun problem, it's a PEOPLE PROBLEM!!! But with that said, there is a group of citizens who do still have a moral code, and it is these folks that I applaud being able to arm themselves WHEREVER they go.
