For an acupunturist to get their license, they need to go through 4 years of full time study and then passing professional exams at state and national level before they can practise. The training they receive allow them to give the safest and best treatments to all their patients. Allowing PT to practise dry needling with a short training is like a slap to the face for all acupuncturists, not to mentioned all the potential safety issues that may arised. So, all PT should be banned from performing dry needling unless they go through the same rigorous training as all acupuncturists. Thank you.
