As an election officer, I am opposed to this change in voter registration.   There is already enough confusion on election day - such as voters in the wrong precinct,  lack of any or proper identification, change of address, etc.  The proposed change will take a clear, straightforward "check-the-box" form and make it subject to cofusion, misundrestanding and mistrust.  We need to be able to rely upon the simple clear registration process - and not question the individual voters on election day.
