Voting is a sacred right in this country and changing the registration procedure to make the ability to vote less stringent makes a mockery of this right.
I also strongly believe that all voters should be required to present a picture ID at their polling place to insure the right to vote isn't being abused. When working at the polls in 2012, I saw and heard of many cases of voters coming in to multiple polling places with electric bills to prove residency. It's a joke. We need picture ID's to pick up tickets, to fly on an airplane, to verify a credit card, to drive. Voting is too important a right to ease up on having the proper credentials. I would vote in favor of providing assistance to those having the proper paperwork to obtain a picture ID in order to vote. Do NOT make the registration procedure more lenient.
