Action | 2015 Voter Registration Application Regulation and Form Update |

This proposed change would make it easier for people to commit voter fraud. As our representatives, I implore you to make it MORE DIFFICULT for non-citizens to vote. Strengthen voter ID requirements.
Further, if a non-citizen votes in an election, that is a deportable offense. Are you trying to take away one of the legal bases for deportation? Under 8 USC 1227(a)(6), which is the Immigration and Nationality Act, "any alien who has voted in violation of any Federal, State, or local constitutional provision, statute, ordinance, or regulation is deportable." If you remove these questions from the form, you are making it more difficult to obtain evidence that a deportable offense has been committed.
As our representatives, you should do everything in your power to protect the Constitution, which includes allowing ONLY U.S. citizens to vote.
