Board of Health,
I support critical abortion center health and safety regulation. According to the Family Foundation, "In just two years, inspections have exposed widespread health and safety violations including blood splattered exam tables and equipment, unsterilized needles, incomplete lifesaving equipment, violations of Virginia parental consent laws, an absence of reporting of possible cases of child abuse, and many more deficiencies." Those deciding to get abortions should be able to do so in a clean and proper environment. Common sense would dictate that abortion clinics be held to a standard of safety and cleanliness. Any other medical institution would be. We have heard too long about safety violations. Furthermore, the abortion industry and in particular Planned Parenthood do not lack the resources to keep up these health standards. Thank you for taking the time to read my support of health and safety regulation. Laurie Vines
