I understand that the VirginianCorrections Board is considering changes to the regulations governing the shackling of pregnant prisoners. Please discontinue this practice in state and local facilities. Such a practice violates the human dignity of the prisoner and her baby. Otherjurisdictions have outlawed such shackling with to harm to staff.Please end this demeaning kind of prisoner restraint.
