I am writing as a citizen of Virginia and ask that the BOC NOT allow the shackling of any pregnant prisoners in the system.  This is an inhumane practice and not something that anyone can be proud of.  It is demeaning enough to be pregnant and in prison and all the worse to be subjectto such barbaric practices.     And while on the subject, the issue of solitary confinement procedures at Red Onion is also inhumane.  Can the BOC PLEASE CONSIDER A TOP TO BOTTOM REVIEW OF ALL KEY PROCEDURES IN OUR PRISONS.   THANK YOU.  KEVIN RAYMOND
