We have increasing debt and unemployment so how on earth do we have any extra money to provide benefits to those who are able enough to provide for themselves?  If you have other adults that live with you and are capable of working then you don't deserve special privileges. Taxpayers are burdened enough as it is and this state should not be providing handouts to adults that are plenty capable of providing for themselves.
