Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Strongly oppose!!

I whole heartedly oppose this new policy! This is a dangerous territory the school officials are crossing.

This strip me of my right as a parent to encourage my daughter or son to love who HE OR SHE is because God chose them to be what they are.
Transgender is an abnormal behavior and should not be normalized.
When schools begin to allow someone to suddenly start behaving as the opposite sex as in changing in locker rooms with others that do not have the same anatomy this is absurd and disgusting. All the sudden my son or daughter has to be made uncomfortable because of this.
Accepting and normalizing transgenders is just like taking in the Trojan horse. You thinking accepting this will bring good to the community but what is awaiting is wickedness. It will open room for more wicked thinking to follow.

Please don’t force us as free Americans to accept such wicked thinking and actions. I do not say this with hate but a heart full of worry and fear where this is heading.
