All kids should be treated equal and not discriminated against by peers, teachers or staff. No special treatment should be given to any individual. I believe this first and foremost needs to be taught, demonstrated and enforced as to bringing special attention to a specific group. As for bath rooms you should use the bath room you have the equipment for. Children are at school to learn and be educated. Not to make moral, social or sexual decisions or be taught these things. The job of the school and its employees should be that of education per SOLs and as good examples of model citizens. All persons opinions should not be a point for discrimination or segregation. When you start moving to make “accommodations” you alienate and promote special unbalanced treatment to one group over others. What does that teach me out children. Be loud or cry and you will get your way, this doesn’t prompt a strong confident member of society. It caters to the practice of crying to get your way. A healthy society can not developed and sustain on this principle. We must be able to function on the grounds of our design and opinions with our requiring special treatment with a physical or learning disability to help accommodated. As I doubt a transgender individual is going to label their choice as a handicap I do not she the need for a handicapped treatment mentality.
