EVV EXEMPTION NEEDED for LIVE IN/FAMILY CAREGIVERS

Clocking in/out ...ONLY FROM THE APARTMENT...is an OUTRAGE and UNNECESSARY BURDEN on me and other family caregivers like me who are already insulted and under extra pressure by the nominal hours' pay for 24 hours/day work!

My 92 year old mother, now sharing my tiny 1 bedroom apartment, has advanced dementia and medical disabilities, preventing me from earning a living.   Now, the agency through which I am paid says, in addition to these convoluted, time consuming, distracting EVV requirements, my mom and I MUST BE IN THE APARTMENT when I am forced to clock in/out daily.  THIS FEELS LIKE THE LAST STRAW...  Sure, we need the pittance I'm paid by Medicaid to be her caregiver, but this is making me think seriously about letting go of Medicaid.  What with the extreme amount of Patient Pay, the nightmarish application and renewal problems we've had, I question whether its worth the red tape.  But maybe that's what they want...for people to give up or screw up.

Isn't being a family caregiver enough of a life-drain?  Can't the state make it easier, not harder?
