using the EVV app can be difficult for a live in since the end of the day we are typically alone with the participant.   If the participant is involved in an activity we are unable to check out on time.   I am learning to “check in and out” but I won’t do it over the safety, or well being of the participant who is unable to care for themselves.   I have a lot of corrections and I am willing to make them, but it causes undo stress for fear of reprimand for what will appear to be my errors.  Unlike the non live in attendants, in the middle of caring for the participant, I have no relief to simply grab a device and conveniently walk away.
