I would like to express my support for the changes to 12 VAC 5 - 550. 

Having a documented gender marker that properly expresses the lived experiences and gender of any individual is paramount in navigating legal, educational, professional and healthcare systems.  When that documentation is lacking or incorrect (such as the gender marker "Male" on a person who identifies as, presents as, and appears as a female), it creates hardship for that individual.
