According to the 2015 US Transgender Survey Virginia State Report (http://www.transequality.org/sites/default/files/docs/usts/USTSVAStateReport%281017%29.pdf), one quarter of respondents with an inaccurate ID suffered harassment because of that inaccurate ID. Allowing transgender Virginians to obtain accurate ID documents will enable Virginia residents to better access services from healthcare providers, law enforcement, and more.
