I hope you will consider making it easier for adults 18 and over, who are transgender, to change their gender on their birth certificates.  I have an adult child who was born female and is now an adult trans-male.  This self discovery process started in 8th grade for him.  It has been a long road for us trying to support our child, who is now an adult.  We have had many ups and downs along the way, but I feel he is leading his best life and is productive in society.  He is working and completing an undergraduate degree.  I am hoping this gender marker change will be a simpler process in the future, so adults can make the change without scrutiny from law makers, health officials, and government officials who don't know a lot about what it is like to be transgender or to have a child who is transgender.
