In her prize winning series in the Washington Post, writer Katharine Boo called L’Arche communities “ what dreamers hope for” . Preventing individuals the choice to live in community models of care like L’Arche deny individuals their humanity. Please protect dignity and respect the choices for making a home and a life for people with developmental disabilities.  We have witnessed the beauty and love of L’Arche GWDC.  As the mother of a son with disabilities, I strongly support choices for living that includes living in intentional communities.  Disability should not deny choice!
