As someone who has been involved in animal rescue in the Tidewater area, it has been well-known that PETA kills perfectly adoptable animals.  PETA is the only "animal shelter" that brings animals in with no intentions of adopting them out; that is not just hypocritical (there is no "E" in PETA!), it's despicable.  Please shut down the euthanasia factor.
