This petition asks that accountability be taken seriously on behalf of homeless animals who are often killed out of convenience in shelters that are supposed to help them.  I can see why such accountability would be fought in those quarters who prefer to do as they please with these animals without any oversight as they have been doing all along.  Virginia is slowly becoming a more civilized place for animals and a more compassionate place.  The people of Virginia overwhelmingly support doing the right thing by homeless animals who find themselves at the mercy of organisations who don't really live up to their mission.  Many get donations on false pretenses and often kill because they can without being truly accountable.  Therefore, I strongly support this petition.  It provides the protection our homeless animals in Virginia deserve.
