I am opposed to the current petition. Animal welfare should be the primary focus of a shelter. Any addition to the requirements of recordkeeping that is already in place will be detrimental. The scrutiny of shelter reform is already having an adverse effect to the quality of care given to citizens and animals outside of the shelters. Requirements such as this will only negatively affect other shelters as well.
