Current record keeping requirements are more than adequate. Forcing additional recordkeeping requirements on public and private shelters will not improve the care of animals in shelters and will not create adoptive homes. The only consequences would be to divert already-burdened resources away from animal care, rescue, cruelty investigations, adoptions, and more.
