As a testing specialist and educator of the gifted for over 18 years in Virginia Beach City Public Schools, I do not support the proposed Gifted Program Regulations. I recommend that the Virginia Department of Education and the State Board of Education members reject the changes to the regulations. I believe the current proposal will not improve services for gifted students in our school division but would reverse much of the progress accomplished in the last decade. Please vote NO to the proposed regulations.
