Protect the Incapacitated persons against proposed 56-hour soft cap limit on personal care

We say "NO" to 56 hour soft cap on personal care/assistnce,

We have daughter that is declared by Fairfax County court Incapacitated person, due to severe cognitive disability, developmental disorder, mental impairement, seizure disorder and  Autism wide spectrum; a lifelong condition that our daughter never asked for, nor did we.

Cutting the personal care assistance to 8 hours day will impact quality of life of incapacitated person, not counting the emotional devastation of parents looking at their child or vice versa, day in and day out knowing our loved one will never be normal and will need personal assitance/care for life.

This proposed soft cap to 8 hours day will directly inflict hardship to incapacitated person and to families who are already suffering physically and mentally of the situation we are in, not by choice.  We paid our dues, we paid taxes, Personal Assistance/Care desperately needed by incapacitated person is to be capped to 56 hours per week, why?   Who would like to be in this "hell of a situation" pardon my language, just to get assistance from a government program.  No one would like to be in this predicament just to get assistance, believe us.

This proposed cut will be endured directly by incapacitated person needing help as long as they are breathing, from eating to bowel movement. Incapacitated person already lost their dignity, why cut needed assistance/care? What did they do wrong?

It seemed like, lifelong incapacitation is not enough devastation to that person and to his/her family facing hardship, both physical and emotional challenges everysingle day for families of  concerned.  Now the government program has to pile on it proposing to cut assistance.  This will deprive quality of life for people with disabilitites and their families.

We say "NO" to implementation of 56 soft cap limit.
