My son is fully disabled and struggles with a variety of medical, intellectual and neurodevelopmental ailments- requiring 24-hour care to live and thrive. Without the support of his attendants, he would not survive. His attendants could not maitanin his care and their respknsibilties outside of his care without these services in place.
This family unit needs ongoing, uninterrupted support of their attendant care. With a cap of 56 hours, the current attendant would not be compensated for the work that has to be done to keep him alive, well, and thriving.
This program has allowed our family to survive and thrive together and prioritize our son's wellbeing, sustained health, and wellness.
He is a social and loving person; who needs the ongoing specialized care. Please do not cut his access.
Please do not remove his service facilitator; he has an array of complex medical needs. His current facilitator knows his case and has a strong rapport and relationship with him- we have worked together for years to position him for sustained health, success and she has been a pivotal part of that becuase she knows him well; removing her would remove his access and connection to his needs.
