I'm requesting that you please keep our service facilitators. I strongly oppose DMAS eliminating them. For families like mine, our facilitator provides support that helps us understand and successfully navigate a complicated Medicaid Waiver system. An independent facilitator gives us someone who has gotten to know our family and needs.
Virginia proposing to eliminate this valuable relationship with facilitators to support Brokers is alarming. The system is complicated and VAIL has repeatedly helped us solve problems to access services and resources. Losing them will add a whole new level of stress to families.
