Oppose replacing facilitators with brokers, continue to accept EVV exemption for live in caregivers

I urge you to protect our right to choose our own service facilitators and continue allowing the EVV exemption for live-in caregivers. Service facilitators provide essential guidance, advocacy, and support that cannot simply be replaced by an assigned broker. Taking away our choice disrupts trusted relationships and threatens our independence and self-determination.

Additionally, requiring live-in caregivers to use EVV adds an unnecessary burden to an already demanding, around-the-clock responsibility. Live-in caregivers provide continuous care, and additional tracking requirements create more stress and administrative work for those who are already dedicated to meeting the needs of the people they support.

Please protect our right to choose the providers who understand our individual needs and maintain the EVV exemption for live-in caregivers. These protections are essential to preserving independence, dignity, and quality of care.
