Oxford House

Hi my name is Kris Harris I'm in chapter #3 now for 3 yrs I moved in on Nov. 3, 2023, I was an alcoholic and  homeless for a yr. and a half got into a program in Richmond called Atlantic Out Reach for a 90 day I.O.P. I heard about Oxford Sober Living and put in an application.  Was welcomed in by 5 very friendly women that were already here. They helped me get acclimated to the Oxford way I have learned that you have friends and family here at Oxford it is scary at first but when you get familiar with the way it all works and you have people that help you with recovery because they are also going through recovery.  The monthly Chapter meeting is a great help to all houses if we need anything we can bring it up for a vote. The Housing Service Committee visits each month to each house for help with anything that might come up like disrupted behavior,  conflict with each other, or anything else. I have been an H.S.C. security for the first year in Oxford.I have learned a lot about how each house is to run and I live by that now that I've been welcoming ladies here for 3 yrs. at Bon Air Oxford we make them feel at home welcoming them home to a safe place,  someone to turn too if you need help with anything, a ride to a meeting, the bus schedule, resources to finding out what is available in the area.
