Oxford House WORKS the way it currently is. Plain and simple. Oxford house gives hope, and helps people build from the ground up into a completely new way of living. You have to do it on your own, and with the help of your brothers and sisters. That’s what it’s about. We. teach the new members when we welcome them home. So on and so forth. There are plenty of rules and guidelines living in an Oxford House. It is important that Oxford House remains self governing, self supporting, and self ran. This is the foundation that has worked since 1975! I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator
