My name is Tiffany Leonard and I currently live in Oxford House Ann Guthmiller. The foundation Oxford House stands on is unlike any other recovery residence I’ve experienced. The structure is just what I needed to rebuild my life and stand on my own two feet. The sisterhood I’ve experienced being here is nothing short of amazing. To implement staff into our houses would go against what Oxford house believes in. I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator.
