Commercial harvesting of menhaden in the Chesapeake Bay has substantially upset the food chain, and there is little doubt that this is related to the drop in striped bass numbers.  It needs to stop.  Legislators need to start listening to their constituents rather than the lobbyists who represent this caustic industry.
