Menhaden fishing in the Reedville area is an integral part of the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia history.  Virginia can be proud of the contributions made by the company and its employees these many years.  Menhaden is a sustainable source of protein needed around the world  for industry. Plus it would create a hardship for the families living in and around the area. Not to mention the negative financial impact for the city and other businesses in the area.
