Please do not adopt the proposed regulations of the gifted program.  If these regulations were approved, the gifted program in our district would slowly be eliminated.  Being the parent of a straight "A" gifted student, I fully expect for her to get all of the advanced education she deserves, and I feel it is the duty of our state (not our locality) to insure this happens.  We are already dealing with too many controversial issues with our school board.  Thank you.  Beth Ironmonger, parent, Prince Edward County.
