KEEP VIRGINIA IN RGGI

RGGI has provided grants for Virginia localities to fund (1) flood protection programs, and (2) weatherization and increased energy efficiency in affordable housing. These programs have been making a big difference to communities that lack other resources to tackle these important problems. Funding is not limited to any one area, but is being disbursed throughout the state. There is no other source of funding for these important projects. These projects benefit us all by mitigating flooding, making shorelines more resilient, and diminishing air pollution. The small increase in electric bills is a worthy trade-off for these broad-based benefits.
