I’m terribly disappointed that Governor Youngkin wants to take such a short-sighted action to pull Virginia out of RGGI. Staying in RGGI is critical to addressing the dire climate emergency that we face; we need to stop focusing on our own political futures and instead on protecting our planet for future generations! The scientific community could not be clearer about the IMMEDIATE need for action on every front.  RGGI has been, and continues to be, a very successful program for reducing carbon emissions. We need to build on its success and find additional ways to reduce emissions rather than backsliding!
