The 4 objectives of this energy plan are not related to energy.

The objectives should be related to energy by increasing customer choice of energy source (access to solar), energy efficiency, and staying in RGGI.

2 of the top areas for job growth in this country are energy efficiency jobs and solar jobs. Pulling us out or RGGI puts that at risk in VA by making other states more attractive for employers.

RGGI-sponsored energy efficiency programs would have helped drive down the cost of energy not just for beneficiaries of those programs but by decreasing the demand for energy, and thus the price of energy. This has been thoroughly documented in past evaluations.

Energy efficiency is essentially a tax cut for Virginians, the commonwealth should heavily fund energy efficiency programs as it is one of the number one job creators in the green space.

Another great way to create jobs, reduce energy costs, and increase energy freedom is by creating conditions favorable for Community Solar programs to expand in VA. Community Solar allows subscribers to choose the energy source they desire while reducing their electric bill by 10%. A win-win.
