Virginia should continue its work on protecting the environment and furthering environmental justice by keeping and expanding upon the Virginia Clean Economy Act (VCEA). In addition, we must protect the Clean Car Standards and remain in the RGGI. These were all foundational steps. Not only must these legislation and agreements be retained but they must be built on as well. Repealing them and leaving the RGGI would be going backwards and would have huge negative impacts on the environment, the economy, and on environmental justice.
