How is an administrator able to assess a teacher's cultural competence? Competency with which culture? Can an administrator who is not from the same culture that is being evaluated truly know if the teacher is competent? This is so relative and arbitrary it is ridiculous that people's livelihoods are dependent on this evaluation. It will make teachers leave the profession and we are desperate for good teachers after the pandemic response fiasco.
