Pursuant to Chapter 14 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia, you are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) at their meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in the Commission meeting room at 380 Fenwick Road, Building 96, Fort Monroe, to consider an application submitted by Ms. Nancy Longest to extend an existing timber groin 20-feet landward and to construct an 8-foot spur on the channelward end adjacent to 155 Point Breeze Lane, situated along the Rappahannock River in Essex County. Recommend approval contingent upon proof of purchase of 13 square feet of tidal wetlands credits from The Nature Conservancy’s Stream and Wetland Mitigation Program (SWMP).
