The Gloucester County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday January 14, 2026, starting at 6:30pm
at the Colonial Courthouse, 6504 Main Street, Gloucester, Virginia. Your joint permit request seeking authorization for
construction of rock revetments, spur, groin, nourishment and plantings at 8361 Yacht Club Lane, Tax Map 51-317 in
Gloucester County, will be reviewed.
The Board respectfully requests that the applicant or agent physically mark the project two weeks prior to the
scheduled hearing. This ensures that Board members and county staff can easily identify and review the proposed
projects. It is encouraged that the applicant, agent, or contractor attend the hearing and be prepared to testify in support
of the application. Submit copies of any photos, site plans, or correspondence to Environmental Programs for recordkeeping
and distribution.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend and share their views. Comments can also be submitted online at
Street, Gloucester, VA 23061, including your name, district, and hearing title. All comments are to be submitted by the
close of business on the day of the hearing.
As required by Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, this office will give notice of hearing to the owners, their
agents, abutting property owner(s) and property owner(s) immediately across the street or road from the property
affected. Also, prepare a public notice containing a brief description of the project and scheduled hearing date and
publish it in the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette Journal once a week for two weeks prior to meeting. Please be advised that
after notice has been given any substantive changes made to the project may result in the application being deferred to
next month’s meeting.
