The Virginia Department of Transportation is holding information sessions about new regulations that establish uniform statewide standards for traffic impact analyses of land-use proposals that will substantially impact the state-controlled transportation network. The intent of the regulations is to improve the coordination between land-use and transportation planning decisions by providing information to local government officials and citizens. Dates, times, and locations for the sessions are:
Monday, March 12
9 a.m. to noon - Prince William County Board Room, James J. McCoart Administration Bldg., 1 County Complex, Woodbridge, VA 22192
2 p.m. to 5 p.m. -
Tuesday, March 13
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Loudoun County Gov't Center Board Room,
The sessions are for those in local municipal and county government, planning and the transportation and development industries who will be involved in the land development process and would benefit from an overview of the regulations and their implementation. Training sessions for those directly involved with the implementation of the regulations will be held later this year. Please attend the information session most convenient to your location and schedule.
