| Purpose of the meeting This is a meeting of the Workgroup to Study Issues Related to Mitigation and Nutrient Credit Programs formed at the direction of the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake, & Natural Resources of the Virginia General Assembly to conduct a study and report back on (i) Supply and demand for wetland and stream mitigation credits; (ii) Incentivizing the removal of dams and other significant obstructions in Virginia by the private sector; and (iii) Nutrient credit geographic service areas and the practice of retiring agricultural land for nutrient credit. This meeting will be open to the public, but only the workgroup members (or their alternates, if the member is not present) will be seated at the table. Others may attend as members of the public. | |
