| Purpose of the meeting The Virginia Marine Resources Commission and our Finfish Management Advisory Board will be hosting the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) on June 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at our Fort Monroe office to hear presentations on BOEM’S Central Atlantic Call Area for new ocean wind energy leases and BOEM’s Draft Guidance for Mitigating Impacts to Commercial and Recreational Fisheries from Offshore Wind Energy Development (Publication coming soon). The intent of the meeting is to hear community comments related to these public notices for consideration of VMRC comments to BOEM and to assist community members in building their own public comments related to these issues. | |
