| Purpose of the meeting An informational meeting concerning the water and solid waste permitting processes associated with the closure of the Dominion – Possum Point Power Station coal ash ponds pursuant to a 2015 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) final Rule that regulates the disposal of coal combustion residuals. This meeting is not part of the required public participation process for any water and solid waste permitting actions associated with the closure. This meeting is intended to supplement those processes and allow the public an opportunity to ask DEQ questions during and/or in advance of any official public comment period. Also, please note that since this meeting is not part of the official permitting process, comments made during this informational meeting will not be part of the official public comment on any of the required permit actions.
