| Purpose of the meeting The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In addition, staff will request the Board’s approval of the following regulatory actions: • Proposed Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – 2 VAC 5-111 (Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Public and Private Animal Shelters); • Proposed Fast-Track Action – 2 VAC 5-141 (Health Requirements Governing the Admission of Agricultural Animals, Companion Animals, and Other Animals or Birds Into Virginia); • Final Stage – 2 VAC 5-440 (Rules and Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law – Cotton Boll Weevil Quarantine); and • Final Stage – Revisions to 2 VAC 5-317 (Regulations for Enforcement of the Noxious Weeds Law) The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |||||||||
